PlayStation has announced this month’s lineup of free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers. Starting January 6, all PS Plus members can claim Need For Speed Unbound, Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, and Core Keeper. These titles will remain available until Monday, February 2.

Need For Speed Unbound, the newest entry in the series, takes players to Lakeshore City, a location heavily inspired by Chicago. Both single-player and multiplayer modes are available, with street racing at the core of the action. Players must also manage their “Heat” level—rising Heat attracts more intense police pursuits. Between races, there’s plenty of room for customization, and weekly qualifiers offer the chance to compete for the ultimate prize in The Grand, the premier street racing event.

Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, originally a Wii exclusive from 2010, returned in 2024 with a full remaster by THQ Nordic, bringing updated visuals and gameplay to modern consoles. In the game, Mickey Mouse is pulled into the Wasteland, a realm filled with forgotten characters and ideas. Players must help Mickey reconnect with his long-lost brother, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, in order to find a way out, highlighting Disney’s historical reclaiming of Oswald’s rights.

Finally, Core Keeper combines cozy and survival mechanics, letting players explore an expansive underground cavern packed with treasures and secrets. Digging for resources, crafting tools, building bases, and exploring deeper levels are all part of the adventure. Players must also balance combat against Titans with managing their own food, animals, and hobbies like fishing and cooking to thrive in this hidden world.
