Ubisoft, in collaboration with Evil Empire which is the Studio behind one of the most popular 2D action games, Dead Cells, has announced a new Prince of Persia series game, called “The Rogue Prince of Persia”.

The Rogue Prince of Persia is a 2D roguelite action-platforming adventure. It promises to deliver challenging platforming and acrobatic combat, hallmarks of the Prince of Persia series. What sets this game apart is its procedurally generated levels, ensuring that no two runs are ever the same. This feature is expected to provide a fresh and unique experience each time players start a new adventure.

The game’s story begins shortly after the Prince provokes an invasion by the Huns. The Huns, armed with their dark shamanic magic, demolish Persia’s defenders, setting the stage for an epic adventure. Players will step into the shoes of the Prince, navigating through the chaos and fighting to take back their kingdom.

Ubisoft and Evil Empire have also announced that The Rogue Prince of Persia will be coming to Steam Early Access on May 14. During this period, the developers will be looking out for community feedback to further refine the game. They plan to add new story content, levels, and other gameplay elements based on player input.
