Without any doubt, Ghost of Tsushima is one of the Most anticipated Games of 2920. A PS4 Exclusive which Many believe have the potential to become a Successful Game. A while ago, A new Gameplay Was Shown and now here, we’re going to break it down to the smallest Details. Let’s get to it!
Let’s start with the Combat. Basically, there are two Major Methods for Taking Down Enemies and Progressing through the story. You can either be a Samurai, Take the Direct Approach and face your enemies without any cover or Distraction. Or you can be a Ghost. Silent yet deadly and Kill your Enemies From the Shadow without being seen. Wanna Fight as a Fearless Samurai and Embrace the Danger, or you prefer Lurking In the Shadows waiting for the Right moment To strike? THE choice is yours…

Ghost of Tsushima…

Lets talk about Direct Approach or Like I said before, Fighting as a Samurai. island of Tsushima is Filled With Mongols. They have outposts, camps and They can be found Looting and Killing people of the island. Since most of the Times, you will bring fight to them, You are Free To choose Your way of Approach.
Ghost of Tsushima’s Combat is all about Patience. It’s not like most of the games in Which you start Attacking The very first moment you see An enemy. Judging by the Gameplay Footage We have seen so Far, Close Combat is not Fast paced. You gotta wait for your Enemy to make the first move, then You’ll have the chance to take Him Down With a Single Strike! It seems that Ghost of Tsushima Using a Feature Similar To Parry. This Feature Heavily Depends on Timing. If you could Counter Attack with an Impeccable Timing, then we can say Instant kill is guaranteed (At least for basic Enemies)
Since we don’t Know if enemies have Levels or Not, we’re not sure if This Super fast Counter Attacks work on Every Enemies.(By the way Personally I think Enemies won’t have Any levels like RPG games) But it’s safe to say that Basic Enemies and goons won’t stand a Chance against a Deadly samurai like you.

When you get surrounded By 3 or more enemies, The key to Success is Again Waiting for An enemy to step up and make the first move. Judging by this Recent Gameplay, we know that In these Situations, Enemies won’t be attacking Simultaneously. Instead they will charge at you one by one. This May seem Unrealistic comparing to real Fights, but it gives you the Chance to deal with them individually. Also Sometimes there will be an archer in Enemies Group Who will Shoot You Time to time. But You can easily Block Incoming arrows and break them in Half with your sword. I think You can Block Any other Projectile Attacks As well. Anyway it doesn’t seem that Incoming arrows will be a pain in the ass since they will be infrequent and they are Very easy to deal with.

Generally, It seems That Close Combat and Direct Approch greatly depends on counter Attacks and Counter Slashes. Wait for them to make their move, then try to be as Accurate as possible in your Counter Attacks., and That’s it l. The Most Interesting thing about the enemies that caught my eyes, was Their Health. They have a Very small amount of Health which will be Draind by a Single Strike In form if counter Attack, or Two or three Direct Strike. Of course Excluding Bosses and mini bosses.

Now let’s talk about Being a Ghost. Deadly, invisible and Silent. If you prefer Stealth, then stick to the Shadows, Lure an enemy away form his allies, and Stab them a back, or Neck or any other Vital Area! In this way of Approach, you gotta Deal with Enemies individually and one by one. Throw Rocks, Firecracker or any Other Items that Draw an Enemy Attention, lure him away and Assassinate
Bow is another Helpful weapon When you’re playing like A ghost. By shooting Silent Deasly arrows, you can take down an Enemy without causing any Commotion or alerting other enemies. Also Grappling hook could come in handy in many situations since it will help you get to higher grounds and rooftops.
Long story short, playing like a ghost meams You’ll be using anything at your disposal To Infiltrate enemy’s Camps and outposts, and wipe them out, Without leaving any trace! So Lurk in the shadows, Throw Firecracker to Confuse Them, use Grappling hook to Get to rooftops and high Grounds, and use Bow for a clean Ranged Takedown!

Now let’s talk about what we Learned from The World of Ghost of Tsushima and it’s features based on this recent gameplay. First of all, we realized Ghost of Tsushima’s Map will have Point of Interests Shown by a question Mark. Normally we have two types of Maps in open world games. The first one is like Witcher 3 or Assassin’s Creed Odyssey in which there are Tons of Points of Interests and Undiscovered Locations, with Unique objective and rewards. Second type is like Days Gone in which Looting buildings or exploring locations won’t get any reward or anything special. Fortunately, Ghost of Tsushima uses the First type of the World Map in which Undiscovered Location are marked and you can easily explore them, loot them or Search them for collectibles or to complete location Objective.
Tsushima Island, is Full of Mysteries. It’s all up to you if you want to uncover those mysteries or not.You gotta Pay attention to all small things. An Abandoned Farmstead, smoke in the Horizon, a Shrine at top of a Hill, or an animal trying to get your attention. Following These Sings may Reveal a Secret or uncover a mystery.

The other interesting Thing we learned from The Gameplay, was the Guiding Wind. After Marking a location, guiding wimd will help you stay on the right path amd it will get you to your destination. Basically it’s Just like an old GPS! Having wind show you the way, can save you some time since you don’t need to check your map after Marking a Location. Just Mount your horse and Let the Wind Guide you!
In the end, let’s talk about customization. Like almost any othet open world game, You can Customize Jin sakai aromor and Head gear. There will be many options for customizing your armor. It’s worth mentioning that Every armor has its bonuses. For example one armor may favor stealth by boosting attributes Related to play as a ghost, while another piece of armor may Boost you Defense For close combat. Also by picking up Special flowers, you can change the Color of your armor as you like. So again You’ll have many options for Customization.
as for the Visuals, well it’s impressive. Iighting, Attention to details, vast Range of Bright Colours perfectly Coming together. It’s simply Breathtaking. Although I think This recent Gameplay trailer was a little bit less detailed comparing to the First Gameplay. There are less Blood and water on the ground and sun Reflection is not exactly like before. But still I think Ghost of Tsushima’s Visuals Are Unbelievable.
